Emirates Extrusion, a Dubai-based aluminium extrusion manufacturer and wholly owned subsidiary of Dubai Investments PJSC, is installing a solar PV system at its Jebel Ali facility. The system will generate about 1.24 GWh of clean electricity a year and around 31 GWh over its 25-year life, cutting an estimated 12,389 tonnes of CO₂.
The project combines rooftop and carport solar to make full use of the factory’s available space and reduce reliance on grid electricity. It is being delivered in partnership with 386 Sky Solar Energy Systems LLC.
Lower-carbon aluminium for customers
By powering production with renewable energy, Emirates Extrusion is lowering the embodied carbon of the aluminium profiles it extrudes. This gives customers in construction, transportation and industrial markets a measurable benefit they can carry into their own projects and green building targets.
The initiative supports the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 goal.
